Although eight provinces have been affected, Nangarhar and Lagman provinces have been hardest hit.
Islamic Relief’s Emergency Response
Islamic Relief has been working in Afghanistan since 1992, due to the ongoing conflict. Emergency response teams were dispatched to the affected areas and plan to support over 3,000 people in the affected areas with emergency food and essential household supplies. Food packs will contain the following items: 50kg Wheat flour 8kg Beans 5l Cooking oil 2kg Salt 5kg Sugar 20kg Rice Additionally, the essential items packs will contain cooking pots, cutlery, plastic mats, blankets and hygiene kits.
